Nunn, Rankin lead PNW Past Moody Bible 113-45

HAMMOND, Ind. – The Purdue Northwest men’s basketball team cruised to a 113-45 win over Moody Bible Institute. Frank Nunn led PNW with 18 points and Chase Rankin came up one assist shy of a double-double with 12 points and nine assists.

The Pride bounced back with force after several conference setbacks with the third 100-point performance of the season. Five players ended up in double figures as the offense got back on track. In addition to 18 from Nunn, Chandler Spring put up 14 points in 18 minutes off the bench and had seven rebounds. Rankin and Rich Robertson scored 12 points and grabbed three steals. Durante Lee continued his remarkable efficiency with 10 points on 5-5 shooting from the field and grabbed four rebounds.

In a game featuring every active player for the Black and Gold, all 15 dressed players were able to get on the board. Emarree Goode made his second career appearance with the Pride and scored five points in nine minutes. PNW also had an astonishing 30 assists to just 10 turnovers.

With 54 points off turnovers, the Pride were able to take continued advantage of the Archer’s 35 turnovers. The inside was also owned by the Black and Gold, as they added 54 points in the paint.

Head Coach Boomer Roberts

“We shared the ball well tonight, and did a much better job getting to the paint offensively. Everyone competed, the bench was pumped when other guys made plays, and it was good to get back in the win column before a tough road trip this week.”

Next up, Purdue Northwest will travel north to Marquette, Michigan for a conference clash with the Northern Michigan Wildcats Thursday, December 8 at 6:30 pm (CST).
