- Opened his senior campaign with a 5-0 record, including a pair of ranked wins, and the 141-pound crown at the Michigan State Open
- Dethroned No. 1 Dom Demas of Oklahoma in the championship bout with an escape on his turn in the referee’s position before riding Demas for the complete 30 seconds and securing a 2-1 win
- Posted a 15-5 major decision over the 12th-ranked 133-pounder in the country, Dylan Duncan of Illinois, in the semifinals
- Garnered bonus points, including a pair of pins in 3:20 and 6:56, in his first three bouts
- The two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree earns the first Wrestler of the Week Award of his career

Kendall Coleman, Purdue

- Made his collegiate debut at the Michigan State Open, earning 19 takedowns in five matches en route to the 157-pound title
- Earned the first two falls of his varsity career against Tiffin’s Hunter Langeloh (6:42) in the opening round and Ohio’s Zac Carson (6:16) in the semifinals
- Took out a pair of ranked opponents, defeating No. 15 Eric Barone of Illinois (13-7) and Penn’s No. 9 Anthony Artalona (10-7) in the finals to become one of three freshmen to earn titles in the open division
- Earns the first Wrestler of the Week Award of his career
