PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Ohio State University wrestling team totaled 96.5 points to finish as national runner-up at the 2019 NCAA Championships. This marks the fifth consecutive top-3 placement for Tom Ryan’s Buckeyes, bringing home another team trophy to Columbus.

Ohio State sent three to the NCAA Finals and had five Buckeyes stand on the All-American podium. The program has now received 110 All-America honors with 53 coming during the Tom Ryan Era (2007-present). Coach Ryan has guided the Buckeyes to a top-10 finish in 11 of 13 seasons at Ohio State and reached the top-3 in over half (7) of his 13 campaigns as Ohio State head coach (also runner-up in 2008 and 2009).
NCAA Finalists Micah Jordan (149 lbs), Joey McKenna (141 lbs) and Kollin Moore (197 lbs) were joined by teammates Myles Martin (3rd; 184 lbs) and Luke Pletcher (4th, 133 lbs) as All-Americans.

Martin becomes the seventh four-time All-American in Ohio State history. He follows in the footsteps of Tommy Rowlands (2001-04), Lance Palmer (2007-10), Logan Stieber (2012-15), Bo Jordan (2015-18), Kyle Snyder (2015-18) and Nathan Tomasello (2015-18).
For the three-day event, Ohio State posted an overall record of 30-16 with nine major decisions, three pins and a tech fall.
