Penn State and Wisconsin Standouts Honored as Three Stars

Wisconsin’s Dhooghe earns first star after leading Badgers to a weekend sweep of Michigan State with four-point effort

 

First Star

  • Tied for the Big Ten points lead last weekend with four points in the Badgers’ weekend sweep of Michigan State
  • Opened the scoring in both games with power-play tallies, while adding an assist in each contest
  • Scored Saturday’s game-winning goal, his team-leading ninth goal of the season
  • Tied for second in the country and leads the Big Ten with six power-play goals
  • Earns his second career weekly award and first since Oct. 23, 2018 (Second Star)

  • Paced Penn State to a 9-1 victory against No. 5/5 Notre Dame on Saturday night with a career-high four points on one goal and three assists
  • Dished out the primary assist on the first three goals of the game in the opening period to tie a Penn State record for most assists in a single period
  • Added his nation-leading 13th goal of the season in the third period to give him 29 points on the season for the top mark in the country
  • Claims his second career weekly award and second this season

  • Backstopped the Nittany Lion defense to a 9-1 victory against No. 5/5 Notre Dame on Saturday
  • After letting in the opening shot of the game off a defensive breakdown, Jones stopped each of the next 26 shots by No. 5 Notre Dame during a 9-1 victory
  • Backstopped a penalty kill unit that went 3-for-3 on the night
  • Turned in a .962 save percentage on the evening
  • Claims his sixth career weekly award and first since Oct. 30, 2018 (Third Star)
