Penn State, Purdue and Rutgers Earn Big Ten Weekly Women’s Soccer Awards
Nittany Lions’ Sam Coffey and Ally Schlegel, Boilermakers’ Leanna Rebimbas and Sydney Sparks, and Scarlet Knights’ Meagan McClelland are this week’s honorees

Offensive Player of the Week
Sam Coffey, Penn State
M – Jr. – Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. – Masters School
• Scored goals in both Penn State victories last weekend at Long Beach State and Loyola Marymount, adding an assist in the win at LBSU
• Named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week
• Earns her first career Offensive Player of the Week honor
• Last Penn State Offensive Player of the Week: Kerry Abello (Oct. 25, 2018)

Defensive Player of the Week
Sydney Sparks, Purdue
D – Fr. – Carlsbad, Calif. – Cathedral Catholic
• Helped Purdue to wins at DePaul and Iowa State, leading the Boilermakers to a 4-0 start, their best since 2009
• Along with anchoring Purdue defense that earned third consecutive season-opening shutout at DePaul, also scored from midfield, her first career goal, which ended up as part of ESPN SportsCenter’s “Top 10 Plays”
• Garners her first career Defensive Player of the Week honor
• Last Purdue Defensive Player of the Week: Hannah Mussallem (Oct. 2, 2018)

Goalkeeper of the Week
Meagan McClelland, Rutgers
GK – So. – Kearny, N.J. – Kearny
• Recorded a pair of complete-game shutouts last weekend to pace Rutgers to wins over No. 11 Tennessee and Providence
• Made a combined four saves in the two wins (three against PC)
• Receives her third career Goalkeeper of the Week accolade
• Last Rutgers Goalkeeper of the Week: Meagan McClelland (Oct. 25, 2018)

Co-Freshman of the Week
Ally Schlegel, Penn State
F – Fr. – Parker, Colo. – Chaparral
• Netted goals during both of PSU’s wins on its West Coast trip last weekend to Long Beach State and Loyola Marymount
• Scored twice on six shots last week
• Receives her first career Freshman of the Week accolade
• Last Penn State Freshman of the Week: Kim Dubs (Sept. 18, 2018)
