Bethel had a solid eighth inning as Dominic Deisler grounded out but brought Eli MacDonald in for a run. Soon after, Alex Stout had a double, setting Cooper Tolson up for a single and getting Stout home.

The Pilots earned one final run to cut the lead to one with a Macdonald single RBI to bring in Jeremy Wiersema, but a fly out to the center field for the next batter ended the game 5-4.

Ty Mickiewic pitched six innings vs. the Cougars and gave up eight hits, four runs, one strikeout, and one home runs on 87 pitches.

Corbin Greenslad doubled in the bottom of the fourth, and two batters later, Landkrohn doubled, which brought in pinch-runner Nicholas Cox (5-4 SAU).

The bottom of the sixth is when the Cougars took a more prominent lead, scoring three times due to multiple walks and two hits in the inning.

Jeremy Wiersema had a legendary last at-bat on Patterson Field as he hit a three RBI home run late in the seventh, bringing in Miranda and Kaser. As the game soon came to an end as the Cougars won 11-7.
