Pilots Ink Pair from NWI/Chicagoland

Mishawaka, Ind. – Bethel baseball head coach Seth Zartman is pleased to announce the signing of Logan Taff (Manteno, Ill.; pictured right) and Rocci Beebe (Crown Point, Ind.; pictured left) to national letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Bethel College in the fall of 2017.

Taff, son of John and Pam Taff, is a 6-2 first baseman from Kankakee Trinity Academy (Ill.) (KTA). Taff batted .522 with 14 doubles and 27 RBIs as a senior where he racked up a number of awards, including First Team All-ICC, All-Area, and KTA Baseball Most Outstanding Player.

A four-year starter, Taff is a member of the 100 Hit Club at KTA and averaged .466 at the plate his final two seasons. “Bethel is a great school,” said Taff. “It’s exciting to be a part of the baseball team and I’m looking forward to what God will do in my life during my time at Bethel.”

“Logan brings additional depth to the first base position,” stated Coach Zartman. “We feel that Logan will be a great addition to our roster and will help push everyone around him to be better.”

Beebe, son of Rocci and Jennifer Beebe, is a 6-0 outfielder from Crown Point High School (Ind.). A member of the Duneland Athletic Conference Champion Bulldogs, Beebe batted .320 with six doubles and an OPS of .814.

“I am very impressed with Bethel’s baseball program and campus,” offered Beebe. “I believe Bethel will help me continue my baseball career and I am interested in what they have to offer.”

“I feel Rocci will be a great addition to our outfield,” commented Zartman. “He will bring a lot of talent and depth that will help us move forward as we compete towards our goal of a championship. We are excited to have Rocci be a part of our Pilot family.”
