KANSAS CITY – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the National Player of the Week Award winners for the week of September 21-27 and Bethel Men’s Soccer goalkeeper Arnaud Fady earned the title of NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week, taking home the sweep of all available Defender of the Week honors this week.
The junior from Lyon, France led Bethel to a two-win week with 10 saves in goal to help the Pilots past Spring Arbor and Grace. Fady allowed only one goal in 167 minutes of work and posted a shutout in a 1-0 win against the Lancers.
Fady previously was named Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week and NCCAA National Student-Athlete of the Week for Men’s Soccer Defensive on Monday. It is the first NAIA National Player of the Week honor for the Pilots in 2020-21.
