MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Bethel College softball team saw their first action since returning from Florida ten days ago and dropped both ends of a Crossroads League-opening double header to the Huntington Foresters. The Pilots dropped a tight one in game one, before being run-ruled in five innings in game two.

  • Orphanidis hit her first home run of the season in fourth inning of game one to pull the Pilots within one run. Orphanidis continues to lead the Pilots in total hits and extra base hits.
  • The Pilots managed just four hits on the afternoon.
  • Hogg lowered her ERA to 3.89 to take the team lead in earned run average this season with her complete game in game one, allowing just two earned runs—her fourth appearance this season allowing two or fewer earned runs.



  • The Pilots return Gardner Field on Monday to make up a Crossroads League double header against Grace (Ind.), with first pitch of game one set for 3:00 pm.
