MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Bethel College softball team ended their 16-game losing streak in dramatic fashion on Wednesday afternoon. After falling in extra innings in the first game of the double header to Saint Francis, Hannah Haines walked off the Pilots in their final at bat of game two, with a dramatic solo home run to defeat the Cougars 7-6 in the night cap.

  • Hannah Haines snapped the Pilots’ 16-game losing streak with a walk-off home run to right center field with two outs in the bottom of the seventh,
  • Hunter Brummett reached base six times on the day, the most of any player on either side on the day.
  • After Brummett tied game one in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI double, the Pilots gave up 6 runs in the top of the eighth and went down in order in their final at bat of the opener to fall 10-4 in extra innings.
  • The Pilots left 16 runners on base in the double header.



  • The Pilots travel to Huntington on Friday for a double header, with game one set to begin at 3:00 pm.
