PNW Volleyball Falls in Road Contest to Ashland Saturday Afternoon

ASHLAND, Ohio. – The Purdue University Northwest volleyball team fell to Ashland University in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference road match Saturday afternoon.

Senior Carissa Jones (Whiting, Ind./Bishop Noll) added five kills while Brooke Carter (Chicago, Ill./King College Prep) and Jenna Dal Santo (St. John, Ind./Andrean) both tallied four kills for the Black and Gold

Abigail Negri (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) tallied 17 assists and Casey Neulieb (Michigan City, Ind./Michigan City) recorded eight digs.

After Ashland took the opening set, 25-15, the Eagles continued to be in sync as they won Set 2, 25-9.

Ashland, led by Erin Krupar who notched 10 kills and Shelby Wocik who recorded eight kills, continued the Eagles run in the third set as they earned the 3-0 victory.

The Pride return to the court Friday, Nov. 2, when they host Davenport University at the James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex in Westville, Ind. at 6 pm (CST).​
