PNW Volleyball Falls to #13 Ferris State Saturday

BIG RAPID’S, Mich. – The Purdue University Northwest volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to #13 Ferris State University Saturday afternoon.

Auburn Dodd (Chicago, Ill./Gwendolyn Brooks) led the Pride with seven kills while Eudora Negri (Munster, Ind./Munster) added 18 assists and Christina Dal Santo (St. John, Ind./Andrean) tallied 13 digs for the Black and Gold.

The Black and Gold took a 7-4 advantage in the opening set, before the Bulldogs evened the score later on at 13-13.

The teams would go back-and-forth midway through Set 1 but Ferris would pull away to take the opening set, 25-20.

Ferris State would win the second-set 25-17 before jumping out to a 12-3 advantage in Set 3. The Pride would string together some points late in the set, but the Bulldogs would finish strong to defeat the Pride 25-15.

PNW will return to action Tuesday, Sep. 11 on Military and First Responders Night at the Fitness and Recreation Center at 7 pm (CST). against Wisconsin Parkside.
