PNW’s Brownsea Named All-GLIAC Men’s Soccer Honorable Mention
BAY CITY, Mich. – Sophomore forward Michael Brownsea (Albury, Australia/Albury) represented the Purdue Northwest men’s soccer team on the 2017 All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Honorable Mention Team when the awards were announced by the conference office Thursday night.  He was one of just seven players named to the honorable mention squad from the seven conference teams that field men’s soccer.

“Mike had a breakout year for our program and fully deserves this recognition,” said PNW men’s soccer coach Ryan Hayes. “He adapted quickly to his new role and became a reliable player across the season.  He was part of a defense that kept five clean sheets over 16 games and played the most minutes of any player on the team.”

Purdue Northwest recently completed its 2017 season with a 3-1 road loss to Davenport University (Mich.) in the opening round of the GLIAC Men’s Soccer Tournament. The Pride finished 4-9-3 overall and earned the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament with a 3-7-2 GLIAC record.
