POTENT ATTACK LEADS IUSB VOLLEYBALL PAST CALUMET COLLEGE

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – For the eighth time this season, Indiana University South Bend swept its opponent as the Titans cruised to a 3-0 (25-9, 25-18, 25-7) victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph inside the Student Activities Center on Tuesday evening. With the win, IUSB improves to 14-11 overall and 9-3 during Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

The Titans used a balanced attack and strong blocking to notch their second consecutive victory, as IUSB hit a .312 clip while holding CCSJ to a -.052 mark. IU South Bend led the tally in kills 33 to 16, assists 31 to 15, digs 53 to 37 and blocks nine to one.
Two players led the night in the assist category as sophomores Courtney Lengacher and McKenzie Powell each dished out 15, respectively. Junior Hannah Marchand record her 17th double-digit kill game this season with a game-high 10 against the Crimson Wave.
Defensively, Berg added a game-high 14 digs for another double-double this season while Marchand collected eight block assists and Senior Sydney Lubinski followed behind with five rejections.
IUSB continues CCAC action with a midweek crucial match against Olivet Nazarene on Thursday, Oct. 24 before welcoming Goshen College inside the SAC on Saturday, Oct. 26 for Senior Day. The Titans will honor their five seniors before the match that include Berg, Madison Burger, Ashli Drewes, Samantha Hockstra and Lubinski.​
