River Forest HS announces to two new head varsity coaches

River Forest HS is announcing that Kristy Hite has been hired by our Board of School Trustees to be our New Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach for 2019-20. Coach Hite has been the Head Coach at Lake Station Edison since 2009 and set a school record by going 15-7 on the season last year for the Lady Eagles, with only one loss in the GSSC.  Hite has previously coached Girls Volleyball and Girls Tennis also at the Varsity Level at Edison. We are excited to have Coach Hite as our new HS Girls Basketball Coach next year.

Also, River Forest HS is also announcing that David Herring has been hired by our Board of School Trustees to be our New Head Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach for 2019-20. Coach Herring has previously coached Volleyball under Hall of Fame Hammond Morton HS Coach Marie Herring and he coached HS basketball at Merrillville under Hall of Fame Coach Jim East. Dave has also been a Merrillville Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year and is currently teaching at MIS and will be on staff next year at River Forest MS. We are excited to have Coach Herring as our new Coach next year.
