Roman Ojala Named NCCAA National Student-Athlete of the Week

Fired a six-over 150 in first tournament of the season

 

GREENVILLE, S.C. –The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Student-Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the top athletes from the week of September 9-14. Men’s golf senior Roman Ojala was named the NCCAA Men’s Golf National Student-Athlete of the Week.

 

Ojala finished in sixth place individually for the Pilots with rounds of 73 and 77 in the ONU Tiger Intercollegiate at the Kankakee Elks Country Club in St. Anne, Illinois over the weekend. His first-round 73 tied his second-lowest round of his career. It is the third National Student-Athlete of the Week honor for the Pilots in 2019-20 and the first accolade for senior from New Ipswich, N.H.

 

Each student-athlete has been nominated by his/her respective institution and exemplifies the Christian ideals held by the NCCAA.
