RV Bethel Volleyball earns fifth straight

Goshen, Ind. — After dropping the first set with a sluggish start, the Lady Pilots won three straight sets to earn the win over the Maple Leafs.

The victory is the Lady Pilot’s fifth straight Crossroads League victory. Maddy Payne tied her season high of 14 kills and scored 18 points, while Cheyanne Seymour and Hanah Weiss had 10 kills each to assist the Lady Pilots attack.

Bethel had eight errors in the first set but didn’t have more than four errors the rest of the match. Madyson Beaver ended the match with 30 assists and Elise Schildermans had an impressive outing with 21 assists of her own. Jackelin Fernandez led the defense with 14 digs.

The win bumps Bethel into 4th place in the Crossroads League standings as they now begin the second round of the league regular season schedule.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
The Lady Pilots had a team hitting percentage of .339.
Maddy Payne only had one error the entire match giving her a .684 hitting percentage.
Beaver and Schildermans combined for every assist except for one by Fernandez.
