Saints WBB fall to IUNW Red Hawks 72-56

Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College women’s basketball team returned from Christmas break to host Indiana University Northwest this evening at McKenna Arena. The Saints fell to the (RV) Red Hawks 72-56. With the loss, women’s basketball stands at 8-8 overall, while IUN improves to 13-4.

Key Notes of the Game:

– The Saints shot 39% from the field and just 18% from behind the arc

– The Red Hawks were able to shot 45% from the field and 30% from three

– Holy Cross had 16 assists on 22 made field goals

By the Numbers:

– Keysha Streater went 8/11 from the field and finished with a team-high 18 points

– Jessica Norris connected on 3 threes in route to 13 points and also had a team high 8 assists

–  Arielle Thatcher finished with 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist

Women’s basketball returns to action on Monday, December 31 when they host Concordia University. Tipoff is set for 1:00pm in McKenna Arena.
