KANSAS CITY, Mo.—In the first installment of the NAIA Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the Fire of Southeastern checked in at 25th.
Southeastern posted a 12-4-2 record last season, winning The Sun Conference Tournament title and qualifying for the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. This is just the second time the Fire have garnered a preseason Top 25 ranking. SEU started the 2016 season ranked 15th.
The Fire return eight starters from the 2018 team, including honorable mention NAIA All-American forward Jake Van Der Luit, and Second Team All-Sun Conference defender Joey Dotson.
The season begins on August 24 at Truett-McConnell.
