COHUTTA, Ga.—The Fire women’s golf team placed seventh at their third fall tournament of the season, held at NOB North Golf Course at the Roadrunner Invitational.
Following a rough start, the tenth-ranked Fire fought back to close with a 54-hole team score of 976. Southeastern opened with a score of 334, but bounced back with rounds of 324 and 318 to conclude the tournament.
William Carey won the team title with a score of 931 (312-313-306).
Ana Uribe finished strong with the low round of the tournament on the roster, posting a four-over 76 in the third round. The junior placed 23rd with a total of 242 (87-79-76). Teammate Valentina Espinosa also placed 23rd, carding the low first round on the team at 79, and finishing with an 80 and an 83.
Sarah Noto was one shot back in a tie for 28th with scores of 81, 83, and 79. Ashlynn Joyner was 45th with a score of 254 (87-82-85).
Brianna Farrell rounded out the lineup with a score of 261 (94-87-80) to finish 58th.
The Fire conclude their fall schedule next Monday and Tuesday at Doral for the Adamonis Invitational.
