KANSAS CITY, Mo.- In the latest installment of the NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the Southeastern University women’s soccer team remained No. 3.

After dropping the season-opener to No. 5 Benedictine on the road 4-3 in double-overtime, the Fire have won four-straight matches, outscoring their opponents 18-1 during that stretch.

Senior forward Uchenna Kanu has totaled 10 goals and four assists through the first five contests of the season.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, Association of Independent Institutions and Unaffiliated Groups.

The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.

The Fire are back in action at the SEU Soccer Complex on Saturday against the Brewton-Parker College Barons.
