CLEVELAND, Ohio—With the Winter sports season complete, the NACDA Learfield Directors’ Cup standings have been updated with Fire Athletics moving to the Top 20.
The Fire are currently 17th of 177 ranked programs in the NAIA, and are the second-highest ranked Sun Conference program.
Southeastern has collected 327.75 total points, and picked up 178.75 during the winter season. The Fire scored 20 in indoor track, added 25 more in men’s basketball, 63.8 in wrestling, and 70 in women’s basketball.
The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in NAIA Championships.
Lindsey Wilson is at the top of the NAIA rankings with 643.5 points. Wayland Baptist (593), Northwestern (Iowa) (539.5), Morningside (494), and College of Idaho (481.5) round out the top five.
Each school is rated on its top 13 sports, which must include men’s basketball, men’s soccer, women’s basketball, and women’s volleyball.
