ON THE LOOSE (Top running back performances)

Indianapolis Roncalli’s Baron Huebler rambled 32 times for 306 yards and five touchdowns in the Rebels’ 42-14 win over Mooresville.

Tyler Turley of Hobart had 29 carries for 260 yards with four scores in the Brickies’ 49-20 win over Marion.

Pioneer’s Addai Lewellen ran 29 times for 190 yards with three touchdowns in the Panthers’ 42-34 loss to Fort Wayne Bishop Luers.

Ezra Lewellen of Pioneer carried the ball 28 times for 187 yards and two scores against Bishop Luers.

Ethan Dutra of Danville had 23 carries for 179 yards with two touchdowns in the Warriors’ 30-7 win over Southridge.

Covenant Christian’s Micah Wilson scampered 12 times for 168 yards and two scores in the Warriors’ 55-8 win over West Washington.

Zionsville’s Colin Price ran 26 times for 158 yards in the Eagles’ 27-9 win over Valparaiso.

Center Grove’s Daniel Weems scampered 14 times for 152 yards with two touchdowns in the Trojans’ 48-13 win over Indianapolis Ben Davis.

Carson Steele of Center Grove rambled 29 times for 141 yards with three scores against Ben Davis.

Western Boone’s Robby Taylor had 26 carries for 137 yards and four touchdowns in the two-time defending Class 2A state champion Stars’ 42-7 win over Evansville Mater Dei.

Lavarion Logan of Merrillville ran 29 times for 135 yards with a touchdown in the Pirates’ 41-23 loss to Westfield.

South Adams’ Christian Summersett raced 21 times for 130 yards and two scores in the Starfires’ 42-9 win over defending Class 1A state champion Lafayette Central Catholic.

West Washington’s Bobby Stevens registered 17 rushes for 104 yards for the Senators against Covenant Christian.

Baylor Smith of Lafayette Central Catholic recorded 20 carries for 103 yards with a touchdown for the Knights against South Adams.

PASSING GRADES (Top quarterback performances)

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers’ Carson Clark completed 22-of-34 for 326 yards with five touchdowns for the Knights against Pioneer.

South Adams’ James Arnold was 16-of-26 for 296 yards with three touchdowns against Lafayette Central Catholic.

Nick Patterson of Mooresville went 18-of-39 for 215 yards and ran for two scores for the Pioneers against Indianapolis Roncalli.

Indianapolis Ben Davis’ J’uan Swanson was 15-of-30 for 207 yards with two touchdowns for the Giants against Center Grove.

Nathan McCahill of Indianapolis Cathedral went 15-of-23 for 182 yards with two touchdowns and rushed five times for 132 yards and another score for the Irish in a 32-7 win over Castle.

Angel Nelson of Merrillville completed 12-of-29 for 169 yards with two scores against Westfield.

Lafayette Central Catholic’s Clark Barrett was 18-of-43 for 168 yards against South Adams.

Austin Frazier of Covenant Christian completed 5-of-6 for 166 yards with four touchdowns against West Washington.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard’s Carter St. John went 7-of-14 for 106 yards and tallied 19 rushes for 161 yards and two scores in the defending Class 3A state champion Trojans’ 18-13 win over Mishawaka Marian.

Kale Payne of Danville completed 8-of-11 for 159 yards with two touchdowns against Southridge.

Westfield’s Maximus Webster was 9-of-15 for 117 yards with two touchdowns and ran 15 times for 157 yards and three scores for the Shamrocks against Merrillville.

In addition to going 5-of-6 for 101 yards with a score, Riley Johnston of Hobart ran 14 times for 149 yards with another touchdown against Marion.

Mishawaka Marian’s Maddix Bogunia-Bright was 10-of-19 for 143 yards with a touchdown and ran 18 times for 43 yards and another score for the Knights against Bishop Chatard.

Logan Lockhart of Valparaiso went 8-of-22 for 123 yards and ran eight times for 61 yards with a touchdown for the Vikings against Zionsville.

WHAT A CATCH (Top receiving performances)

South Adams’ Trey Schoch caught five passes for 142 yards with two touchdowns against Lafayette Central Catholic.

Donell Mason of Ben Davis had six receptions for 107 yards with a score against Center Grove.

SPECIAL PERFORMERS (Top all-around performances on offense, defense, and special teams)

Western Boone’s Cannon Brunes had a pair of interceptions, including one returned 68 yards for a touchdown, against Evansville Mater Dei.

Along with running 19 times for 134 yards with a touchdown, Marion’s Khalid Stamps returned a kickoff 79 yards for a score for the Giants against Hobart.

Matthew Semler of Bishop Chatard came up with two interceptions against Marian.
