Closing the first quarter on an 11-2 run, Schumacher’s fast-break layup in the closing seconds put the Titans up 27-14 by the end of the opening period.

IUSB continued to manage a double-digit lead in the second quarter, as a three-pointer late in the period from Katie Gard started a 7-0 run for the Titans that gave them their first 20-point lead of the night. Maddie Gard scored on a fast break from Amaya Rufus’ steal, putting the Titans up 47-26 with 23 seconds left in the first half. The Jaguars (4-3, 3-2 CCAC)) knocked down a three-pointer to close the gap in the closing seconds, and IU South Bend took a 47-29 lead at the break.

Maddie Gard came out to score the first five points of the third quarter as the Titans continued to pull away. Stepp put the Titans up 40 with a three-pointer late in the game, and her bucket at the 1:07 mark put IUSB over the century mark in the win.
