SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (14-6, 10-3 CCAC) defeated the East-West University Phantoms by a score of 78-64. Saturday’s 14 point victory makes the Titans winners in four of their last five games.

A feisty East-West team held the Titans to 34 points in the first half thanks to 2-12 shooting from beyond the three point line for the Titans. However, the Titans did have their way in the paint thanks to Dejon Barney who finished the first half with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Tied at 37-37 with just over two minutes played in the second half, the Titans began to pull away thanks to 11 points from Both Kenny Washington and Donyell Meredith II in the final 20 minutes of Saturday’s contest.

A balanced IU South Bend offense featured four Titans reaching double figures in the victory of East-West University. Donyell Meredith II led all players in scoring, finishing with 22 points on 7-13 shooting from the field and a team best 7-10 from the free throw line.

Dejon Barney was next in line in scoring for IU South Bend as he tallied 17 points on 66% shooting. Barney also had his way on the glass, finishing with 15 rebounds, giving him his fourth double-double of the season.
