Plymouth —   #1 National Junior College Athletic Association Ancilla College won its 13 straight game and pushed it record to 22-1, 12-0 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association with a 79-68 win over Kalamazoo Valley Community College Saturday at the LifePlex in Plymouth.

Jair Rodgers again led the Chargers with 24 points with Tyler Chisom and Erick Shepherd each scoring 13 points. Chisom also had nine rebounds. Ty’Sean Shappard scored 11 points and had three steals.

The Chargers hit 20 of 26 free throws and had 10 assists on their 26 baskets. Ancilla is learning how to win when teams slow the game down and limit the Chargers scoring opportunities.

The Chargers will be on the road for a tough three-game schedule for the next week and a half.  They make two of their longest road trips next week when they travel to Mid-Michigan for a 7:30 start on Wednesday and to Jackson Community College on Saturday for a 3 p.m. tip.
