Trojans Blank Trinity Christian to Remain Unbeaten

 

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – The TU men’s soccer team powered past Trinity Christian, 4-0, on the strength of four second-half goals on Saturday night.

 

Taylor and the Trolls (1-2) were deadlocked at 0-0 after 45 minutes of play, with both teams combining for just six shots.

 

Sophomore Peter Linn broke the scoreless tie with a score after just 21 seconds of play in the second half.

 

TU took a 2-0 lead in the 62nd minute when Jeremiah Rader tacked on another goal.

 

Lewis Nisbet continued the offensive barrage, adding a third Trojan goal four minutes later, courtesy of Gabriel Cavalheiro’s first assist in a TU uniform.

 

Zoltan Suranyi completed the Taylor scoring in the 73rd minute, making the final tally of 4-0 in favor of the Trojans.

 

Taylor’s scoring dominance in the second half was backed up by its 12-2 shot advantage over Trinity Christian over the final 45 minutes.

 

TU (2-0-1) will play its next contest on Monday at 1:00 pm against No. 5 West Virginia Tech (0-1) to cap the Trinity Christian Invitational.
