KANSAS CITY – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics recently announced its list of 2017 Daktronics Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athletes, with Taylor leading all Crossroads League programs by placing three student-athletes on the list.

In order to be eligible to be named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status at their current institution.

Tim Fleming, Graham Ortmann and Lane Vander Hulst were among the 175 men’s basketball student-athletes from around the nation to be named as 2017 NAIA Scholar-Athletes and were three of the 16 student-athletes from the Crossroads League to be recognized.

Taylor went 21-12 during its resurgent 2016-2017 campaign, tying for third place in the Crossroads League and advancing to the NAIA National Championship Tournament Sweet 16 after spending the majority of the season ranked inside the NAIA Top-25.
