KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Southeastern University junior golfer Ana Uribe was named to the NAIA Women’s Golf All-America Second Team for the second year in a row.
The 45 total All-Americans divided among three teams were announced Monday afternoon by the Women’s Golf Coaches’ Association All-America Committee.
Uribe becomes the first two-time All-American in program history, and is one of just two All-Americans in the six year history of Fire women’s golf.
In the 27 rounds prior to the national championship, Uribe held a scoring average of 77.6 with nine Top 10 finishes in 11 events. She helped guide the Fire to two event wins, and three times had the lowest single round during a tournament.
Three of her four rounds at the national championship were below her season scoring average as she placed 34th, closing the tournament with back-to-back one-over rounds of 73.
The Fire placed 13th as a team at the NAIA National Tournament, marking the second-best finish in program history.
