USF’s Blaylock Gains First Men’s Runner of the Week Award For 2017

CHICAGO — Claiming his team’s own invitational on Friday night, University of St. Francis’ Brian Blaylock (Lowell, Ind.) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week on Wednesday morning, the league office announced.

Blaylock, a senior, won the USF Fighting Saints Twilight Invite by nearly six seconds over the next challenger and better than nine seconds against the next collegiate competitor.  His time of 15:17 over the 5K course at Channahon Community Park also sparked the Saints to the team title.

A total of 13 teams and 113 runners made up the field.
