Chicago, Ill. The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the Men’s Soccer Conference Player of the Week awards earlier this morning. Holy Cross freshman Axel Valenzuela was named CCAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Valenzuela scored his first collegiate goal against Goshen College in the 38th minute from an assist from teammate Luis Correa-Cabral.

Valenzuela, from South Bend, IN, prepped at John Adams High School.

Holy Cross dropped a 3-2 decision to Goshen College on Friday, August 24.

The Saints host Indiana Tech today at 3:00pm and they will depart for a four-day Florida road trip where they will face Keiser University and the University of Mobile.
