Washington extends winning streak remains No. 1 in 2018 USA Today/NFCA DI Top 25 Coaches Poll

 

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 1 Washington extended its winning streak to 27 games and continues as the No. 1 team in this week’s USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Huskies (27-0) received 29 first-place votes and 794 points as the first nine spots remained the same.

 

The Southeastern Conference (5) and Pac-12 (4) Conference own nine spots in the top-10. In all, the SEC has 11 programs ranked, while the Pac-12 has six and Big 12 three. Last week, teams ranked one through nine went a combined 41-0.

 

Mississippi State (21-3) is the 11th SEC program to join the rankings as it makes its first appearance of 2018 at No. 21. Oklahoma State (19-6) returns to the poll this week at No. 25. Dropping out were USC Upstate (18-6) and McNeese State (16-8).

 

The 2018 USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll is voted on by 32 NCAA Division I head coaches, one representing each conference. Records reflect games played through March 11.
