The Wolverines lead the Big Ten and rank third in the nation in scoring defense, allowing 55.1 points per game.
• Michigan State’s Cassius Winston was named Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday after scoring a game-high 24 points, connecting on 8-of-10 shots from the floor, including 6-of-7 from 3-point land, leading the Spartans to a 11-2 overall record. The Spartans have won six games in a row heading back into conference play.
