Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth at TSC Championship

Uribe Named All-Conference

POOLER, Ga.—The Southeastern University women’s golf team finished The Sun Conference Championship in fourth place, posting its best round of the 54-hole tournament.

SEU shot a 314 as a team on Tuesday to post a total score of 960 for the tournament. The Fire finished 25 shots behind 12th ranked Keiser, which was third. No. 1 SCAD-Savannah held off a late charge from No. 4 USCB, which posted a score of 294 in the final round, which was the low score of the tournament.

Ana Uribe and Sarah Noto posted total scores of 236 to finish in a tie for 13th place. Noto had the low round of the tournament on the roster, posting a 75 on Tuesday, scoring birdies on a pair of Par 4 holes. Uribe was named to the All-Sun Conference team, finishing the tournament with a score of 80 in the final round. The sophomore started strong, posting a 1-over 37 at the turn.

Valentina Espinosa posted a pair of birdies and 10 pars on the day, and shot a 78, finishing with a score of 240, good for 15th place.

Brooke Wetzel (81), and Lindsey Gonzalez (91) rounded out the roster, finishing 20th and 24th, respectively.

The Fire will await to see if it will receive an at-large bid to the NAIA National Championship May 22-25 at PGA National.
