PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.—In the first tournament of the season, the Southeastern University women’s golf team finished fourth of 10 participating teams at the Keiser Kup presented by Golfino.
The final 18 holes were the toughest for the Fire in the 54-hole tournament, posting a score of 320 after opening with scores of 306 and 307.
Ashlynn Joyner and Ana Uribe each posted scores of 78 in the final round. Joyner finished tied for second with defending national champion Maria Paula Otero of SCAD-Savannah. Uribe finished fifth, three shots behind Joyner.
Sarah Noto tied for 19th with a total score of 239 (81-78-80), and Brianna Farrell checked in at 24th with a score of 244 (77-83-84).
Brooke Wetzel rounded out the scoring in 31st with a total of 248 (82-82-84).
The Fire will next take the course at Lake Wales Country Club on October 13 for the Webber Fall Invitational.
