DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.— The Fire women’s tennis team was defeated by the Embry-Riddle Eagles by a score of 9-0 Thursday afternoon.

In singles play, Sharienne Ricardo forced Roberta Krvajica to win seven games in the second set of their competition. The sophomore dropped the first set 6-1 but nearly upset Krvajica in the second. With the score 6-5, Krvajica sealed the match with a victory.

Southeastern’s top duo won five of the next six games to bring the score to 7-6 before surrendering the winning point to the Eagles.
