2019 Big Ten Fall Sports Television Schedule Announced

More than 100 games across four sports will be broadcast by Big Ten television partners this fall

 

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference will be featured prominently on the airwaves during the 2019 fall season, with at least 104 games across four sports scheduled for broadcast by the conference’s television partners on the Big Ten Network, FS1 and the ESPN family of networks. Additional games could be selected for broadcast by Big Ten television partners at a later date.

The Big Ten volleyball television package features at least 48 matches this season — 38 on BTN (including seven doubleheader broadcasts), six on the ESPN family of networks (one on ESPN, two on ESPN2 and three on ESPNU) and four on FS1. BTN’s volleyball coverage will the most extensive in Network history and will include the debut of the B1G Volleyball Report on Sept. 18 following BTN’s broadcast of the rematch of the 2018 NCAA national championship contest between Nebraska and Stanford in Lincoln, Neb. The B1G Volleyball Report will air throughout October following doubleheader matches on Wednesday nights with highlights and analysis from across the Conference.

No fewer than 46 Big Ten soccer games will be televised this season (25 men and 21 women), with 39 on BTN (including nine doubleheader broadcasts), four on ESPNU and three on FS1. Part of BTN’s coverage will include the Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Soccer Tournaments, with the network carrying one quarterfinal from a campus site (Nov. 3 for the women, Nov. 10 for the men), as well as both tournaments’ semifinals and championship games (Nov. 8 and 10 for the women at Rutgers’ Yurcak Field; Nov. 15 and 17 for the men from Maryland’s Ludwig Field).

There will also be 10 Big Ten field hockey games slated for television in 2019, with all 10 contests broadcast on BTN. This package includes the Big Ten Tournament semifinals (Nov. 8) and championship game (Nov. 10), with all three games to be played at the Penn State Field Hockey Complex in University Park, Pa.

All 14 Big Ten schools will be featured during the conference’s fall sports television schedule. All BTN and FS1 broadcasts can be streamed through the FOX Sports app, while broadcasts on the ESPN family of networks can be seen on the ESPN app. Another 400 non-televised Big Ten fall sports contests are available on BTN+, with a current schedule listed at btnplus.com.
