KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2024 NAIA Men’s Soccer All-America teams on Monday, after the competition of the National Championship in Wichita, Kan. Emilio Cazares of Mobile (Ala.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Soccer Player of the Year.
Cazares ranks first in the country in total goals (23) and added four assists to rank third nationally in total points (50). The senior, forward from Monterrey, Mexico led the Rams of Mobile (Ala.) to the Quarterfinal Round of the 2024 Battle for the Red Banner. He launched 92 shots, put 25% of them on target and scored eight game winning goals across 17 starts. He was 2-2 in penalty kick conversions.
The NAIA All-America committee consists of the NAIA-Men’s Soccer Coaches Association Executive Committee, the National Championship Games Committee and four men’s soccer coaches. Each of the All-America teams is comprised of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards, and one at-large position.
