38 Big Ten Softball Standouts Earn All-Region Honors
13 conference schools represented on this year’s all-region teams

ROSEMONT, Ill. — A total of 38 Big Ten softball student-athletes from 13 different conference schools earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I All-Region honors, it was announced Thursday by the NFCA. Big Ten Tournament Champion Nebraska led all conference schools with seven all-region selections, while Big Ten Champion had six players chosen. The Big Ten’s 38 all-region selections also ranked third nationally among NCAA Division I conferences.

The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with first-, second- and third-team selections. NFCA member coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to the 2022 NFCA Division I All-America squads. The NFCA will announce this year’s All-America selections June 1.
