Student Advisory Committee Grant Recipients Announced
IHSAA Foundation to give $10,000 to schools for student leadership development
The IHSAA and the IHSAA Foundation are proud to announce the selection of 10 member schools to
receive $1,000 grants in support of efforts to start or enhance a Student Advisory Committee (SAC).
Recipients of the grant include:
• Boonville High School
• Forest Park High School
• Hammond Morton High School
• Indianapolis Cathedral High School
• KIPP Indy Legacy High School
• Madison-Grant High School
• Marion High School
• Morgan Township Middle/High
School
• Munster High School
• Silver Creek High School
The grant provides financial support to
member schools, allowing members of
their committee to attend the IHSAA’s
Student Leadership Conference, host
meetings throughout the year to develop
leadership skills, and aide in the committee’s required community service project or unity event.
2023-24 IHSAA Student Advisory Committee
To qualify and redeem this grant, member schools must adhere to the following requirements:
• Member schools must attend and actively engage at the Student Leadership Conference with at
minimum six student-athletes.
• At minimum one administrator and six student members of their committee must attend at least
one Fall Principal Meeting.
• At minimum six meetings must be hosted throughout the school year focusing on leadership
development, community engagement, and inclusivity.
• Committees must plan, organize, and activate a community service project or unity event.
Since 2022, the IHSAA and IHSAA Foundation have awarded $43,000 in SAC Grants to member schools.
