SOUTH BEND, Ind. — It was a rainy Saturday at the Indiana Invaders Soccer Complex where the Bethel Pilots (8-1-2, 1-1-0) suffered their first loss of the season against the Huntington Foresters (8-2-1, 2-0-0) by a score of 3-2.

Huntington struck first in the 12th minute and Piero Sabroso tied the game off Miki Fujita’s assist to tie the match 1-1.

The Foresters re-took the lead 2-1 in the 29th minute and doubled down in the 61st minute to grow their lead to 3-1. Sabroso scored again from a penalty kick in the 67th minute in the Pilots’ final chances to tie the match again but fell short.

The Pilots lost their first match to the Foresters since 2019 where HU won in overtime 1-0 and the series is now 37-21-3 in favor of Bethel.
