- Mishawaka (10-1): Chris Harness became the program’s all-time leading rusher with 35 carries for 276 yards and three scores in the No. 2 (Class 4A) Cavemen’s 35-28 win over Riley.
- Penn (8-2): Ryan Whiteman scampered 20 times for 114 yards for the No. 9 (Class 6A) Kingsmen in their 16-7 win over Warsaw.
- Michigan City (8-2): Lyric McFarrin ran nine times for 120 yards and three scores as the No. 3 (Class 5A) Wolves set a school-record for points in their 72-19 victory over Munster.
- Bremen (9-2): Nathan Mullen rambled 21 times for 177 yards and three scores for the Lions in a 52-14 win over Central Noble.
HONORABLE MENTION
Elkhart Central (6-5): Dominic Davis carried the ball 19 times for 111 yards and a touchdown in the Blazers’ 19-0 blanking of Goshen.
Marian (7-4): Malcom Anderson had 16 rushes for 79 yards and a score in the Knights’ 31-6 victory over Knox.
North Judson (6-5): Seth Barnett had a 75-yard kickoff return for a score in the Bluejays’ 42-25 win at South Central.
Saint Joseph (7-4): John Driscoll returned kickoffs of 86 yards and 96 yards for the Indians in their 42-30 triumph against New Prairie.
Triton (8-3): Ethan Berry raced 11 times for 117 yards and a score in the Trojans’ 48-18 win at Winamac.
MAKING STRIDES
Concord (5-5): Ethan Cain was 9-of-14 for 173 yards and a touchdown for the Minutemen in their 28-20 win over Elkhart Memorial.
LaPorte (4-6): Isaac Alexander caught a pass for a touchdown and ran for a score in the Slicers’ 33-19 win over Adams.
BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR
Adams (3-7): Tre Gray caught four passes for 114 yards and a touchdown against LaPorte, but the Eagles ended the season with six losses in their last seven games.
Elkhart Memorial (3-7): Tyler Lehner went 25-of-34 for 339 yards and two scores, but the Chargers still came up short against Concord.
Goshen (1-9): Daveyon Sandford’s fumble recovery and interception against Elkhart Central couldn’t prevent the RedHawks from suffering their ninth straight setback.
Knox (7-4): Dawson Patrick’s 46-yard interception return for a touchdown is all the Redskins could muster against Marian.
New Prairie (7-4): Chase Ketterer’s 289 yards rushing with four scores and 61 yards passing was not enough as the Cougars were guilty of three turnovers against Saint Joseph.
Northridge (5-6): Logan Hooley was limited to just three yards rushing in the Raiders’ 34-0 loss at No. 5 (Class 4A) Angola.
Riley (6-5): Senator Brown tossed for 206 yards and a touchdown for the Wildcats, but was also guilty of three interceptions against Mishawaka.
Warsaw (7-3): Luke Adamiec hauled in a 68-yard pass for a score for the Tigers against Penn.
Winamac (5-6): Kyle Chumley had an eight-yard touchdown run for the Warriors against Triton.
STAY TUNED
Bremen (9-2) at Bluffton (7-4) (Class 2A): The Lions are looking for their first sectional crown since 2015, while Bluffton’s only title came in 1988.
Elkhart Central (6-5) at Concord (Class 5A): The Blazers captured their lone sectional championship in 2014, while Concord is going for two in a row.
Maconaquah (9-2) at Marian (7-4) (Class 3A): The Braves are trying to claim their first sectional title, while Marian is looking for its fourth straight crown.
Michigan City (8-2) at LaPorte (4-6) (Class 5A): The Wolves are in pursuit of their second consecutive sectional championship, while LaPorte’s last title came in 2014.
NorthWood (11-0) at Angola (11-0) (Class 4A): The Panthers are going for their second sectional title in three years, while Angola is trying for back-to-back championships.
Triton (8-3) at North Judson (6-5): The Trojans have not celebrated a sectional championship since 2008, while North Judson’s last crown came in 2004.
Saint Joseph (7-4) at Mishawaka (10-1) (Class 4A): The Indians’ last sectional crown came in 2015, while Mishawaka has not claimed a title since 2016.
Valparaiso (8-2) at Penn (8-2) (Class 6A): The Vikings won their last sectional title in 2010, while Penn is going for its sixth consecutive championship.
