Taylor Football Announces Changes to 2019 Schedule

UPLAND, Ind. – Taylor’s 2019 football schedule will now feature six home games on the Turner Stadium turf, with two coming under the lights against MSFA foes following a pair of recent changes.

The first-ever home football game against Indiana Wesleyan is slated to highlight TU’s Homecoming and Family Weekend festivities on October 5. The game had initially been set for a 1:00 pm start but will now be played at 7:00 pm.

A second change was necessitated by MSFA opponent, Lindenwood Belleville, dropping its football program and leaving Taylor without a game on September 28. That date will now become TU’s bye week, with a home clash at 2:00 pm on October 19 against NCAA Division II Lake Erie being added as the Trojans’ sixth home game.

Taylor’s six-game home schedule includes Missouri Baptist on September 21, Indiana Wesleyan on October 5, Lake Erie on October 19 and Marian, Saint Francis and Lawrence Tech on November 2, 9 and 16.

TU will open at Robert Morris on September 7, with a game at NCAA Division I FCS Butler following on September 14. The Purple and Gold will also travel to Siena Heights on October 12 and Concordia on October 26.
