Marian Picked First in Crossroads League Women’s Preseason Poll
AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League announced its 2020-2021 Women’s Basketball Preseason Poll and Preseason All-League Team on Wednesday, as voted on by the league’s 10 head coaches.
Marian was voted as the unanimous preseason favorite to win the Crossroads League Championship once again, after claiming the CL’s regular season and tourney crowns last season. The Knights were followed by Indiana Wesleyan, Mount Vernon Nazarene, Taylor and Saint Francis in the top-half of the preseason rankings.
MU’s Imani Guy was selected as the Crossroads League Preseason Player of the Year on the heels of earning NAIA All-American honors in her first season with Marian. Fellow returning All-Americans, Taylor Gregory (MVNU) and Abby Downard (MU), joined Guy as Preseason All-CL First-Team sections, in addition to Anna Secrest (IWU), Kyannah Stull (GC), Sam Vaughn (HU), Dayton Groninger (IWU) and Macy Willoughby (MU).
