Michigan State Sweeps Three Stars Honors

DeRidder backstopped the Spartans to a 1-0-1 weekend at No. 16 Notre Dame to earn First Star accolades

First Star

Drew DeRidder, Michigan State

G – Jr. – Fenton, Mich. – Applied Engineering Sciences

 

  • Made 89 saves, posted a 1.91 GAA and a .957 save percentage to help the Spartans go 1-0-1 at No. 16 Notre Dame
  • Made 47 stops in a 1-1 tie on Saturday, including 19 saves in the third period, before stopping 42 shots in the Spartans’ 4-3 OT win on Sunday
  • A total of 25 of his stops came on Notre Dame power plays, as the Spartans killed all eight Irish power plays on the weekend
  • Earns his third career weekly award and second of the season

  • Paced the conference in points (2), goals per game (1.00) and plus-minus (+2) over the weekend
