LEWISTON, ID. – Indiana Wesleyan baseball opened the 2023 Avista NAIA World Series against host school Lewis-Clark State, falling 12-4. The Wildcats fell behind 6-0 after two innings and were unable to mount a comeback effort.

Bryce Ginder put the Wildcats on the board for the first time in the 5th with an RBI single that scored Nick Wiley.
Ty Mathews hit a 2 run homer in the 8th, also scoring Evan Salmon.
Lucas Goodin drove in Jeff Morton in the 9th with an RBI single.
IWU had 5 hits and committed 3 errors in the field.
The Wildcats look to stay alive the NAIA World Series against #5 Bellevue University tomorrow at 2:35 PM EST.
