The Holy Cross College men’s soccer returned to non-conference action this evening when they traveled to Goshen College. The Saints would take an early 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal scored by Gabe Nyenka in the 17th minute.
Holy Cross limited the Maple Leafs to just five shots in the first half, as the game would enter halftime with a Saints’ 1-0 lead.
The lone goal would last for most of the second, until Holy Cross added one more goal, late in 75th minute, when Fabian Velazquez scored with Martin Von Thun getting the assist.
The Saints defense and great goalie play, made the final 2-0. With the win, Holy Cross stands at 2-1-0 overall, while Goshen College moves to 0-4-0.
