IUSB Women’s Soccer falls at Viterbo

La Crosse, Wisc.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (3-5-1, 0-3-0 CCAC) fell to the Viterbo University V-Hawks by a score of 8-1.

The Titans and V-Hawks were knotted at 0-0 until the 32nd minute when Viterbo midfielder Rachel Kinney found the back of the net to break the tie and give the V-Hawks a 1-0 lead.

Both Alex Little and Ashlee Tupper scored goals in the first half to give Viterbo a 3-0 lead heading halftime.

Junior Viterbo forward Brooke Clements scored a goal in the 52nd minute to extend their lead to 4-0.

Jenna Bennett and Brooke Clements scored in the 69th and 71st minute to further the V-Hawks lead to 6-0.

Freshman defender Vivanne Garcia got IU South Bend on the board in the 75th minute to cut the Titans deficit 6-1.

Later in the 75th minute Brooke Clements completed her hat trick finding the back of the net to further the Viterbo lead to 7-1.

The V-Hawks scored once more before they closed out Saturday’s contest with an 8-1 victory.

The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, September 27th when they take on the Fighting Saints of St. Francis at 8:00 PM in Joliet, Ill.
