Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College men’s soccer team returned to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play this afternoon when they hosted Calumet College of St. Joseph. The Holy Cross offense came out on the attack to begin the match, as they would outshoot CCSJ 15-0 in the first half. Dominic Castillo got the Saints on the board with a goal in the 44th minute, as Holy Cross would take a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. Early in the second half, CCSJ even the game up 1-1 with a goal in the 52nd minute. Holy Cross would score four unanswered goals in the 52nd, 55th, 69th, 71st minutes to cruise to the 5-1 victory. With the win, Holy Cross moves to 5-7-3 and 3-3-2 in league play, while CCSJ stands at 1-7 and 0-6.
