Bethel Women’s Soccer falls to #25 Taylor at home 3-0

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — On a cool and rainy night, the Bethel Pilots Women’s Soccer team (8-6-1, 4-4-0) fell to the NAIA 25th-ranked Taylor Trojans (9-3-4, 4-4-2).

The night had its share of runs for both sides, with Leena Thomas connecting with Audrey Lerch for a shot in the sixth minute but was saved.

Lauren Collins of Taylor had a close call in the 27th minute with a shot that looped by the left post.

The scoring started in the 66th minute with the Trojans Chloe Sena connected with Sarah Mullins, getting a foot on the ball in a pack of Pilots and Trojans alike in front of the goal and breaking the silence.

About a minute later, Morgan Fletemeyer scored from a cross by Campbell Massey to secure the Trojan lead 2-0.

Audrey Grimm had a one-on-one matchup with Schubert and scored the third and final goal of the match, 3-0.
